DLNA Error 2114 on PS3 (after latest Java update)

Postby Vegetothe1st » Fri Jul 18, 2014 3:24 am

Over the past 2 days I've been seeing a DLNA Error 2114 whenever I attempt to access the media server on my PS3. The PS3 can see the server just fine, but it can't load the directory structure. I've included the debug log below; it seems to be a linker issue with Java? I'm fairly certain it started when Java updated to Update 7 Version 65, but it could just be a coincidence...

Too long to post here. :(

Edit: I suppose I should mention that I'm running on Windows 8.1 and using PMS 1.90.1.

Edit2: Another user posted the same issue a few months ago and the issue was never resolved (see: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17864&p=83025&hilit=2114#p83025).

Edit 3: A full uninstall and re-install of both PMS and Java did not resolve anything.

So I've fully uninstalled both Java and PMS again and I wanted to try just installing PMS. The help documents indicate I shouldn't be able to do this as I don't have JRE installed, but I was still able to install PMS. Why is this?

I've the same issue since yesterday...

I'm running Win 8.1, PMS 1.90.1 and Java build 1.7.0_65-b20.
I tried to uninstall everything but nothing worked.

Thanks

Sorry to hear you're having problems, but good to know that I'm not alone in this!

Try doing a full uninstall (purge) of Java per the links under the Detailed Solution section in the following FAQ post -

Please provide the debug.log. Also confirm whether you still get the issue with all protection programs disabled.

Is anyone currently running the latest version of Java able to use PS3 Media Server normally? I'm afraid to update now.
