2 x PS3s one Stuttering one Not

Postby Iason7 » Wed Jan 08, 2014 6:35 pm

Hello,

I have two PS3s {Slims .. most current firmware etc} one wired directly into my modem/router, the other wired into a powerline adaptor, one end into the PS3 the other into the modem/router etc

I have over a thousand original ripped DVDs on multiple drives and using PS3 media server on the first PS3 they all play perfectly .. I havn't changed any settings on the server etc

The second PS3 can see all of my folders and files on my PC .. it can play AVi files, TV downloads etc but it will not play the video TS files without horrendous stuttering

Can anyone help with why one works and one doesn't? Please

Powerline adapters do not have performance on par with wired network connections, and they can also be subject to interference. You're seeing stuttering because Video_TS folders require transcoding to group the VOB files together, and as such you're exceeding the capabilities of the powerline network.
Please follow the FAQ around stuttering for configuring PMS settings - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&p=38969#p42818
To note, you may want to run two separate instances so you can have separate settings for each PS3 - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&p=38969#p49895
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum per the Forum Rules.
