Is it possibile to insert an image of every folder?

Postby legolas119 » Wed Dec 25, 2013 10:14 pm

HI,
I have saved in my hd a lot of folder, each one with different files. Well, is it possible to show in the PS3 menù an image for every folder?
For example:

folder named "X-files" --> I would like to see a picture of this serial in the folder (for example, can I save a picture in a specific folder with all the images)

thanks

PS3 doesn't support thumbnails for folders so it is not possible.
For other renderers you can try using "folder.jpg" file if I remember well...

I'm sorry, I haven't understood...so, you say that it isn't possible to link an image to a specific folder.

But, what does it measn " For other renderers you can try using "folder.jpg" file" ? Are you talking about the possibility to view .jpg file on PS3?

thank you!

If you will use renderer which supports thumbnails for folders then PMS supports it via using "folder.jpg" file copied inside the folder. PS3 doesn't support thumbs for folders so it is impossible for any sw to display it (limitations of PS3 XMB).
Last question I don't understand so will try to answer in two sentences:
Yes, PMS supports sending pictures to PS3 and PS3 is able to show them.
No I didn't talked about viewing jpg files in my first post.
