This is a fantastic modification to pms! However, it seems very outdated and many of my files will not play. They play fine with the current pms build. Any chance we will see a new build of pms mlx soon?

Taconaut did merge my pull request with updates a couple of weeks ago, so there is still a little spark of life in the project. :-)
The fastest way to get it back on its feet is to examine the issue list and start contributing code so the project can make its 1.0 milestone.

I'm working on an updated version where the import stuff has already been fixed. I'll release a new version when having been able to fix all packaging issues for all platforms; this will take some more weeks.
If you always wanted to have your most recent videos at the top of the folder in the ps3 or wished you could group all videos with the same genre in one folder, have a look at pms-mlx

Glad to hear there is still interest for this extension :)
As I don't know when the packaging for linux and OSX will be ready, I've decided to upload the windows installers with the application in the current state. Consider this an alpha release. I'm personally using it, it's working pretty well.

If you want to try this version, please take some safety precautions BEFORE starting the new version for the first time:
- Do a full backup of your profile directory (win7: C:\ProgramData\pms-mlx)
- Delete all currently installed plugins (win7 default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\PS3 Media Server MLX\plugins)

If the application doesn't start, delete the db folder in the profile directory and retry.

The used IMDB API has become pickier about names (e.g. if the name contains the year in brackets, the movie isn't being found anymore). You can try to search for the title here (http://www.omdbapi.com/); if it finds it pms-mlx should as well. To clean the file names I had to configure a filename_replace_expressions.txt as described here. I've attached the one I'm using as an example; it removes the year contained in brackets at the end of the name.

Please report any issues you encounter, this will save me a lot of time testing.

You can find the installers on the sourceforge page. You've been warned, it's alpha, right? ;)
