Well, I guess you don't see that kind of problem too often... I have lag with SD videos only...
I can stream 13gigs full hd 1080p films with no problem at all, but when it come to smaller files in SD... I'm screwed lol
So I checked the log and I came up with that...
When I load a smaller file, it tells me that:
"[New I/O server worker #1-6] Successfully initialized buffer to 1 048 576 bytes.
[Buffered IO End Checker] Destroying buffer"
then it goes on eternally with the "stoplayingevent", "startplayingevent"...etc
All that while screwing up what I watch every 45s or so...
When I load a full HD movies, it seems to change the size of the buffer automatically:
"INFO 2013-09-14 23:25:06.727 [New I/O server worker #1-4] Successfully initialized buffer to 1 048 576 bytes.
INFO 2013-09-14 23:25:09.386 [Buffered IO End Checker] Destroying buffer
INFO 2013-09-14 23:25:11.153 [New I/O server worker #1-1] Starting transcode/remux of tnm-cobra-1080p.mkv
INFO 2013-09-14 23:25:11.244 [New I/O server worker #1-1] Successfully initialized buffer to 50 000 000 bytes.
WARN 2013-09-14 23:25:11.401 [New I/O server worker #1-1] External input stream instance is null... sounds not good, waiting 500ms
INFO 2013-09-14 23:25:11.903 [StartPlaying Event] Started sending D:\Films\Cobra 1080p\tnm-cobra-1080p.mkv to PlayStation 3 on 192.168.1.66
INFO 2013-09-14 23:25:15.711 [Thread-104] Successfully grown buffer from 50 000 000 bytes to 419 430 400 bytes."
And it works flawlessly...
What is it due to? It seems like depending on the size of the file, it will chose automatically the size of the buffer... it's obviously enough for the 1080p big movies, but not for small SD files...
Is there anyway I could change the buffer atributed to smaller files?
Sorry if I sound like a noob, but I'm one lol
I installed PMS for the first time yesterday
