PS3 Media Server ver. 1.90.1 Streaming but doesn't show it

Postby Shawzborne » Sun Sep 08, 2013 12:01 pm

Hi Guys,

I am currently using PS3 Media Server ver. 1.90.1 running windows 7 64-bit home premium and I noticed that while I am currently streaming an actual movie to my ps3 it still shows this:

Can you please fix this in the next update? Or tell me how to maybe fix it?

Thanks

Shawn

Are you running PMS as a service or do you have multiple instances open?

You'll need to stop the service if you want the GUI the actively display what's going on. Otherwise they run independently.

Which is better to run? So you are saying I can completely close PMS out of the bottom right menu and it will run with the service?

The service is really only needed if trying to run headless on the system user. Otherwise just add PMS to the startup folder, set it to run minimized, and then use the GUI as needed.
If you need to configure the service through the GUI, follow the FAQ - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&p=16097#p16097

Better is not the right word. As stated above, use the service if you are trying to run headless, otherwise use the GUI.
