Fix FAST FORWARD and GO TO problem!

Postby robsonsirena » Fri Aug 30, 2013 6:19 pm

Hi people, I realised that the problem "freezing and crash movie" when i try to go forward in the movie only happens in some movies with DTS audio, so go to the PMS and disable "keep dts tracks" ( ok i'll have a loss audio quality but it solves the problem!)

Have no problems with FF/RW on MKV files with DTS. So problem is not DTS itself but I suppose your configuration/wifi/computer.....
It should work without doing this "workaround"...

Hi ExSport! The problem is just in some movies.. For example i can watch Harry Potter 1080p DTS 5.1 1509kbps with no problem.. but.. when i try to watch Anna Karenina 1080p DTS 1509kbps i cant use FF/RW.. i tried many different configs.. Wireless, Wired (1gbps), low Transcoding quality , high quality(lossless), MEncoder/FFmpeg the results are always the same. I only have success by disabling the option "keep DTS tracks".(obs: Transcode folder chapter support doesn't work too!)
same problem with windows 7 computer (i7 3770, 8GB RAM) and a notebook windows 8 (i5 M 450, 4GB RAM)

Here are the info of a movie that i cant use FF/RW:(link removed)

Only how we can help is making test with these two files and posting debug.log (in trace mode! Check FAQ)
You can try to remux your non-working file with MKVTOOLNIX package because some files are badly muxed so it can be your problem.
If you will try to remux it, be sure to disable "header compression" for audio/video tracks! (google for more info)

try disabling subs using the definelly disable subtitles tick box in transcode settings as it seems to be transcoding files with subs instead of remuxing. not sure if thats intended to work like that but give it a shot.

MkvToolnix works for me with the following command line options.

--engage no_cue_duration --engage no_cue_relative_position

Got this from
