Using VLC as Engine

Postby jedi_joel » Tue Apr 30, 2013 8:54 pm

I have been looking around this forum for a good answer for quite some time and haven't found one... I have Win 7, PMS 1.80, and have VLC 2.02 installed on my PC. I see VLC listed in the transcoder section but it has the big orange warning sign next to it. I also see in the trance that it is not found. "Executable of transcoder profile VLC not found". I have VLC installed in E:\Program Files (x86\... the same as PMS. How do I get this damn thing working as an option? Any help is appreciated.

Judging by the source code, PMS determines where to find VLC by looking at the registry. If your registry contains the path to VLC, PMS should be able to pick it up from there.
