Web.conf doesn't show on my render is that normal ?

Postby Abdullah85 » Thu Apr 04, 2013 5:24 pm

HI
I am using Fedora 18 on my laptop and using the PMS 1.72 on my KDL-52W5100 Tv
I downloaded the PMSEncoder plugin and put it in the plugin folder I saw it there in the transcoding setting and in the general configuration tabs

BUT I still don't see the web conf details that I built it up in the render
I can see my videos and musics but no web contnets
is that normal
Do I need to have playstation 3 in order to see the web contet

How can I enable the web contet. I tried to read everything in this forum but I couldn't see it in my render please help

So i had the same problem, and after some much fiddling i found the problem.

If you download the CONF-file trough the web it will NOT save it as a CONF-file, but rather as a web/tekst document, which PMS does not read.

If you go to your location where PMS is installed, you should find a CONF-file called WEB.
Copy/paste the WEB-CONF file from "[location]:\PS3 Media Server" into your "C:\ProgramData\PMS" ( if you use Win7) and it should be fixed.

Thank you so much for helping me
I found the solution !! YAAAY !!

anyway since I am using Fedora 18 the folder will be under
Code: Select all
/home/YOURUSERNAME/.config/PMS/

just copy and paste your WEB.conf there

Thank you again for your help
