1080p Stuttering starts once bitrate jumps to 30 Mbps +

During first minute of any 1080p mkv the bitrate on the ps3 stays under 20 Mbps MPEG-2. Then once it goes to 30-50 major stuttering starts. Ive the fixes in the faq that apply and none seem to help.

you streaming wirelessly? with HD videos once there are alot of particles on the screen like fences/trees with lots of leaves the data being pushed jumps up. If your PS3 is wireless then try hardline ethernet for faster throughput. Also depends on the quality of the router.

Also it depends on how fast your computer is since its trying to encode on the fly., remux it to mp4 and it will play flawlessly.

Actually, I found that using file name extensions of ".m4v" for my MPEG4 encoded streams wasn't enough. I had to edit the PS3.conf renderer configuration file and force it to pass thru m4v files without re-encoding. I didn't expect that since I figured PMS would recognize that file name extension, but I guess not...?

Great program here, btw! I use it to stream to my PS3 and I'm working on getting it to function with my stereo (all folders appear empty with no transcoding options!?). Once I get this completely working, I'll move my iTunes library to my Linux file server. I use the iTunes interface for editing media information and playing media on my AppleTV downstairs, but I plan to use PMS for other devices...

.m4v extension is defined as video file so problem should not be an extension but used codec etc.
Post MediaInfo here. This is used for detecting compatible files...represented as supported= lines in renderer.conf files.
