Need help playing/copying m2ts file

Hi all,

I am having issues playing and/or copying a 36gig .m2ts file to my ps3 from my Ubuntu 12.10 64bit desktop.

I can see the particular file listed under the video section of my ps3. I try playing it, and I get an error. I select "options" and look at "Information", the file does not show how big it is, and it shows up as a Mpeg-4 36MB.

My preference would be to place a copy of the file directly into my PS3, and play it from there.
