PS3 can't see media server

Long story short. Worked forever for me, next morning gone, and the only change in config or both set ups was the uninstallation of Quicktime. I was getting the failed to bind to port error because the port was already in use, but somewhat fixed it?

PMS only detected the PS3 if I forced the IP to my PS3's and also forced to a different port. However my PS3 isn't seeing my computer.

I'm using wireless, but have flawless connection, open UPnP, DMZ and Port Range Forwarding is set up for my PS3, and I've given all access to my PS3, Java, and PMS through my firewall as well as tried to turn it off.

Any ideas?

Is your Media Server setup on Windows? Was it installed as a Service so that is was in the background? If it was, I posted a message on the general forum about my server stopping too, and it was to do with a Java Update....

It's not installed as a service, and yes I'm sure it was a Java error. *Edit: Windows 7 64 bit

I'll try fiddling around with Java a bit more.

Installed an older version of Java, but still nothing. Also forcing ports ports no longer gets the PS3 to show up on PMS.

I got the similar problem, my PS3 and samsung tv no longer see the PMS. It's working the day before and today gone..

Can someone help?

Each time I search for answers for this I see more and more people having the same issue. It's really blown up over the past few weeks.
meskibob posted a link to FAQ on the PMS Windows 8 forum, but nothing worked for me. It looks as if some Windows 7 users are coming across the same problem. I'm thinking in some way it must have something to do with the latest Java.
