Samsung BD-E5400 not showing up on Media Server

Postby Sinix » Wed Jan 02, 2013 6:50 am

Hello,

I have recently connected this Blue-Ray player (192.168.1.63), but does not show up as a renderer device. My PS3 (192.168.1.64) shows up fine, but it does not even detect as an unknown device. First I thought it was an issue with my blue-ray, but after installing Plex Media Server, Plex was able to detect it, but I did not like the folder layouts on the system. I personally prefer PS3 Media Server, so if anyone could assist me it would be great.
It just stops after access granted, no other logs continue for my blueray

PS3 Media Server is hosted on:
Windows 2012 server, 6gb ram, quad core

Here is my Debug log:

Appears that the specific model will not work with media servers... even though it is DLNA certified...
Device already returned and upgraded to a BD-E5700. Works great!

It doesn't work out of the box, but if you modify the the 5700 profile to search for e5400 it works fine.
