i have a very early ps3 it does not have wifi but can play ps2 games

my motherboard has 2 lan ports, 1 for internet ofc and the 2nd is unused

im having problems with ciniva recently and ive heard if you disconnect the ps3 from the internet than ciniva will no longer give any problems, i suppose i could go in to my router and deny access to the ps3 but i would rather not.

my question is if i plug my ps3 into my 2nd lan port will PS3 MS "see" the ps3.

you would have to use a "Crossover" Cable (normal ethernet cables are "Patch" cables) and manually configure to IP address for each device. This will require a basic understanding of networking to be a DIY project.

Cin@via has nothing to do with internet connection so denying internet doesn't help.
The only legal solution is playing cin@via protected files on non-cin@via hw. Because Cin@via is "audio" protection, only solution is playing file via external audio receiver and this is possible only with movies including DTS audio track.
