Panasonic viera

Postby zzricezz » Wed Dec 26, 2012 4:52 am

On my Panasonic viera tv, i'm not able to stream avi or xvid files, i would get cannot read file and when i look at the log i get this error message

DEBUG 2012-12-25 22:40:53.860 [New I/O server worker #1-4] Attaching thread: ffmpeg.exe-2
DEBUG 2012-12-25 22:40:55.251 [Thread-21] [mpeg4 @ 003dd120] Invalid and inefficient vfw-avi packed B frames detected

it seems to stream mkv ok so not sure why it wouldn't play avi or xvid files.

Check the link in discussion ;)

Please change MediaInfo=true to false in Panasonic.conf file and let us know if your AVI (DivX/XviD) files started to play again.
Thx
P.S.
Problem is that with "DLNA.ORG_OP=10 or 11" (=>MediaInfo=true) not all DivX/XviD files are playable but when "DLNA.ORG_OP=01" (=>MediaInfo=false) is used, all kind of these files play again.

So I just got a new Panasonic tv and I am having problems streaming MPEG2_TS files directly to the tv via the DLNA functionality.

I tried changing the MediaInfo to be equal to false in Panasonic.conf, but that didn't seem to help.

I have .ts files that were generated by recording OTA broadcast via NextPVR. If I copy the .ts file to a USB and then access the USB directly via the tv, then it plays fine, but when I try to access via PMS, I get the following:

"Please wait a moment" shows up on the screen for a bit and then everything goes purple.

It renders fine via my PS3 through PMS

I'm attaching my debug.log and my Panasonic.conf if that helps.

Let me know if there is anything else I can provide to help figure out the issue.

Your debug.log is empty. Every restart of PMS file is rewritten so please restart Pms, play file and post log again.
Also check the FAQ how to change DEBUG logging to TRACE logging by modifying .xml file.

Sorry about that. I updated to give trace logs and am attaching the output in a zip file.

FYI, this is running on a Win 7 64 bit Athlon 2 X2 260 Processor (dual core), 4GB of RAM

What "MIME" is used for DivX files in your renderer conf file? Try changing "m:video/x-divx" to divx or x-msvideo.

@vgossain: Your file has 60fps. Do you have some with 23.976, 25 or 29.97 to test if it will play?
I never tested 60fps file but in log it seems data are sent to the TV correctly. Do you have a short sample I can test?

Ffmpeg is used for thumbnail generation and not for streaming file. What you posted is irrelevant.
We need full debug.log in trace mode. Check the FAQ.
