Bravia HX conf file attached based on braviaex.conf just replace in renderers folder its for applicable models below though, streams formats the tv will play without issues and transcodes formats which are incompatible

default conf file would transcode everything, so decided to make my own tested this for months will work for everything u throw at it.

feedback appreciated.

list of supported formats if anyone wants to try and improve this or sees any error.

just for reference the transcode line is #'d out meaning it wont transcode those things and skip right down to media info checks.

DEVS: if devs want to add this to the official build you can but would need to edit the headers for EX and HX to keep them seperate, sorry i suck at header information. ive been testing this nonstop and it works great. HX is the 2012+ series of tvs from sony so they will be around for awhile to come. the only change i really made was #'ing out the transcode line so it would stream supported files the problem is if u do this to the braviaex.conf file then bravia ex's dont support avi and mp4 so really do need a EX and HX seperate config both the same the only difference is HX can stream avi and mp4 and EX cant (well most of them) basically if u leave EX how it is and just add HX and fix the headers up then # out the transcode extentions on the braviaHX.conf everything will be great.

Thanks for the effort!

I would like to know what headers your TV is sending to PMS though.
Can you remove all renderer.confs and paste the possible identifying headers that PMS reports in the debug.log when you try to connect to it?

Thanks!

The "BraviaEX.conf" matches EX, CX, NX and HX headers.
I take it only the HX needs to move to this new config and the rest should remain where it is?

NX is 2010 EX is 2011 and CX is way older then that, yep HX is 2012+ it makes sense its more supported then the older models so id just keep it separate, later we can prob add the newer models to the HX conf thinking ahead. :)

double checked also because wasnt sure on NX (because N comes after H) but yeah its older, it said 2010 model where i looked. it doesnt support avi or mp4.

hey Raptor399 would it be possible to remove the TranscodeFastStart=true line from the braviahx.conf, has issues with action/trees at the start of HD content and causes it to stutter, its probably safer to buffer abit before playing. it seems to run fine then.
