problem with subtitles in MKVs with embedded subs

Postby nbn » Mon Nov 05, 2012 10:44 pm

Hi guys,
I have a samsung ua55es6800, and I can successfully steam MKVs to it through PMS. In MKVs which don't have embedded subtitles I can even see my externak srt subs. The only problem is that when the MKV already has a subtitle embedded into it - it is the only one that shows and I just can't seem to get pms to show the external subtitle...

anyone has any idea what can cause this?

I have the same problem,
On a Samsung BD-D5500 Bluray player with AllShare and on a Samung UE40ES5500 also with allshare.

I can play the MKV's with embedded Subs without problem, but wenn i add a *.srt with the same ass the movie name in the same folder
it wont play. It always return to the Embedded subtitle.

Even though wenn i play a movie without embedded subs and a *srt added in the folder it will play the srt.

Is there a solution without stripping subtitle out off the MKV??

I use PMS 1.71.0

If you mean using the FAQ, i did that already, can find some related issues but not a real solution.

I added the additional info at the previous post.
