Stuttering mkv movies

Hello,

I'm running ps3 media server for soms time now, but lately i'm having trouble playing movie's ( 1080p 720p and 3D ) a lot of them are stutting.

I'm running it om a MacBook pro 2.66 MHz Core i7, 8gb 1067 MHz ddr3. With à wifi netwerk. My ps3 is connected with wire to my wifi router.

Running ps3 media server 1.70.1

My transcode buffer is 300
Cores for transcoding 4
Mpeg-2 settings keyint=25:vqscale=1:vqmin=1

Hope to get some info for troubleschooting the problem, I searched around here but couln't find the solution.

Maybe i wasn't to clearing about the problem.

Some movie's are stuttering and some don't, but it is/are always the Same movie's that have the stuttering problem.

Then those movies are too intense for your setup and/or current settings, both of which are addressed in that FAQ post. Not sure what's complicated about this...

I have exacly the same problems, stuttering MKV's. Even the MKV's that were in perfectly good order before.
I first noticed the problems on 1.71.0 so I updated to 1.72.0 but it offered no solution. After that I went back to 1.70.1 and all is well now... (again)

So try to go back to the older version and see if it solves your problem.

BTW i'm running Windows 7 on a i3-2100, 4 GB of RAM. PS3 is connected by wire.

Found the actual problem in my 1.72.0. Setting the transcode buffer from 600 to 400 MB did the trick.
