[Solved] Windows installation error with 1.71.0

When I install the new release for Windows I have the message

Error opening file for writing :

C:\Programmi\PS3 Media Server\MediaInfo.dll

Click Abort to stop the installation,
Retry to try again, or
Ignore to skip this file.

Help...



Now is all ok !!!! I have reinstalled again and is ok.

I had the same problem when installing 1.71.0 on a Windows 7 PC but I've tried to reinstall numerous times as per the advice below but keep getting the same error message. When I choose the 'ignore to skip' option and let 1.71.0 finish installing my PS3 ( 100mbit ethernet connection) can't the PS3 media server just the Windows Media Player. Any advice?

You need to make sure the existing installation of PMS is not running before installing the new version. Check Task Manager for open instances of javaw.exe.
