MLX won't play certain mp4's though pms 1.6 will...i tried skipping transcoding to no avail

other than that, the ability to sort/filter files is fucking awesome

The current mlx version is built on top of pms 1.52.1. The next release will be on top of 1.60 or even 1.70, if the videos play with pms they should also play with mlx.

Is pms-mlx the only way to aggregate folders, so you can present content to the renderer in the structure you want, rather than just folders on disks?

Any roadmap/timescales to build pms-mlx on the latest ps3ms version pls.?

A new build is long overdue, can't tell when I get around updating it though.
Search for the CCML plugin if you're looking for an alternative.

Before i log a development request i just wanted to check if any of the following is already possible.

1. Define how the date and title field in mp3s/flacs is communicated to the renderer, and whether this can be tweaked.
a) tracks are alphabetical on my renderer rather than by track number, would like to communicate title as '{track}. {Title}' to ensure sort order.
b) date is empty - renderer is asking for something PS3MS doesnt have, or PS3MS is presenting in a way that renderer doesnt understand.
2. Configure additional views of the library
a) group TV (shared) folders as one. {cache does not different tv shows and movies for me}
b) if folder is > than x objects, categorise content into symbol, number, a, b, c, folders by first letter.
c) add a view for last 50 objects added. (find recently added content)

How exactly can I setup that we can see when we've played an episode?
I added my TV show folder through the File system option. Is there an option I'm missing somewhere? I'd prefer not to manually add media in with the media library..

This modification of the ps3 media server lets you configure what folders show up and what files they will contain. Thumbnails and their name can also be defined.
