PS3 on 5 channels

Hi, i have a home theater systems installed to my PS3, 1300 Watts, but when i watch a movie using the PS3 Media Server, i just get 2 channels for sound..so i want to know if I am able to get the 5.1 sound ....i just get dolby or two channel, if this is posible please some one let me know how to setup or do this???

Does your HT have an option like Dolby prologic II or Neo6 DTS? my Receiver does

i just find out that I think this depend on how the movie was rip, if they dont rip with 5.1 is just going to show up 2 channels.
