#TRANSCODE #folder to change language on PS3

I'm new at learning this and I seen that you can change the language of a movie on the PS3. I downloaded this movie called Evoluti KL Drift 2 and the movie said english but when we wanted to watch the movie it was in a different lanuage. How do I change the language on PS3 to watch the movie? I am so confussed and need help I have seen it is through the #transcode # fold but where do i go after that and what do i do? Can I also used the disk I downloaded the movie on or does it have to be streamed through the computer? I would appriciate any help that I could get. Thank you.

Open the "# transcode #" folder, then select the folder with that movie's name, and in there you will find all possible combinations of available audio channels, subtitles and encoding engines.

Pick the one that suits your needs best.

It is possible to edit the strings PS3MediaServer uses on the list in the #Transcode# folder for variables?

I ask as because everything is written out in whole words, and things like the name of subtitle/audio tracks sometimes get printed off the end of the screen. But if, for example, I could shorten the strings like "Audio:" to "A:" and language to the three-character standard notation I could read the entire transcode line.

Like right now I see:

[AviSynth/MEncoder] {Audio: flac/Japanese (FLAC 5.1)} {...

and can't see the subtitle set listed
When the same info could be written as:

[AviSynth/MEnc.] {A: JPN (FLAC 5.1)} {S: subtitle track}

For now you can configure extra tag only by:

# Display audio tag in TRANSCODE folder if defined in container (useful to find out correct audio track like commentary etc.)
# ShowAudioMetadata = true
# Display subtitle tag in TRANSCODE folder if defined in container (showing subtitles info like forced, full, documentary etc.)
# ShowSubMetadata = true

You will loose some useful info for some cases but for now it is only configurable value.
In your example only "{FLAC 5.1)" part will be hidded so not much place will be made for rest of file (same problem has PanTV )
But I am definitely for shorten these names

I have committed a change that will allow different file name formats for different renderers.
To quote PS3.conf:

This should allow you to change the way file names are displayed on any renderer.

This was on a Sony Blu-ray player, btw (BDP-S580) displaying to a full 1920x1080 display.
The only other change that the SonyBluray.conf profile needs is that this player seems to support native streaming of AAC audio files.
But I don't know quite how, though, as even the manual says they don't.

I have a FreeNAS system running MiniDLNA on it and I can stream my iTunes AAC audio files (.m4a) to the Sony BD player. MiniDLNA supposedly does no transcoding (in it's original release) and the player lists the files as AAC audio files in the browser.
