I got the same error.

Ive tried changing it from 600 to 300, but it still skips parts, or crashes. So bloddy annoying.

I'm suffering from the same stutter and skipping issues. Running 1.70-1, buffer set to 400 and max bandwidth set to 75 (on a 1GB network). It seems like the PS3 can't keep up! If I pause the output for a few minutes and then unpause, I get smooth video and then it starts chopping again. I've seen where some say to donwgrade to v1.45? That seems counter-productive and I'm afraid to lose all of my settings. Has anyone else verified that downgrading versions fixes some issues?

The FAQ is your friend.
Skipping (the video jumps to a different part of the video) - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&start=30#p38969
Stuttering (the playback is chugging/buffering) - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&start=30#p42818

@fragnot - Go through the skipping FAQ
@DevlshOne - Go through the stuttering FAQ
