Error: There is no inputstream to return for [MEncoder]

Bump. I am experiencing this as well in 1.70.0 on debian squeeze.

In my case the file is 3.4GB...not sure if this may be the problem? most of what I plays is <1GB...

I am having the same issue in OS X Mountain Lion. I have a core i7950, 6GB RAM and am using PMS 1.70.1.
