Video Streams Ok; Adds External Subs = Fail

Hey, I am new to the Forum (I did my share of searching before posting, tho).

My issue: so, I've been struggling with the configuration of PMS in order to make my videos run smoothly. I was trying to watch a movie (Last Man Standing (1996) - ok movie, not great, tho), however, after a couple of minutes, it would turn into a Benny Hill flick, with everyone running around on warp speed, in sync with the subs. The audio, however, kept playing normally.

So, after a long time of (trying) to fine-tune it, I decided to delete the external subtitles file from the video's folder. Went back to the PS3 and the playback went smoothly as if I were watching on my PC.

So, any thoughts on how to play the video file, with subs, without the skipping/stuttering?

p.s. the video file is .avi, the subtitles's .srt
