Let's say you have 2gb drive of movies all with meta files.. would that cause CCML to take very long time to prescan all these before it can display the CCML folders?
I guess if thats so.. thats... not so great :P

It depends on your setup. I have around 1000 titles to scan. If I do it locally on my machine, it takes around 20-30 seconds to scan them in on RAID1 setup of green drives. If I attempt to load the meta files from the same location from another computer (via Shared folder), I've seen it take five (5) minutes. How big are your time delays?

Well..i'm on a Atom, newbie XP setup.. ordinary sata 300.
It explains why i've been having some "problems" with the plugin in.. i thought something was wrong, but it was probably working all along..i just thought it broke somehwere since the folders never came up.. :P. I don't know what i expected.. EDIT: "never".. i guess i didnt have the patience to let it finish =) (i'll try again)

Worth noting. I have had a problem getting CCML working. Worked fine on my laptop but wouldn't work on my server. After 3 weeks of messing around with it finally found the issue.
CCML doesn't appear to like root directories, I have shared C:\Videos and E:\
I moved all folders from E:\ to E:\Films and bingo. everything works :-D

Next challenge. need to make all the meta files, would be great to have a PC based 'Film Manager'

Used the Movie File Tool which I like very much but would be great if I could just get the info I require and have the option to hide some stuff.
Also would be good if it would check every movie file in a directory. (Not that im lazy just have a few films...)

CCML is Brilliant. Thank you very much jdknight!

Save .meta files as ANSI format or they don't work.

Updated the plugin to version 4.

Allow multiple master categories to be defined in a single meta file.
Support for an alternative meta folder.
Users can now view the parsed library structure in the plugin dialog.
Notify user if CCML is taking awhile to parse/build the library.
Fixing root directory issue on Windows systems (thanks markuk98 for pointing this out).
Attempt to support different meta file encodings (thanks markuk98 for pointing this out).

If you're encountering any issues, please post here.

I have an excel (2007) document that scans my film folder.

It automatically gets generates the meta files and covers.
It enables me to manage my 500+ films.

If you would like a copy just send us a message.

Mark.

Uses MovieFileTools v1.007

so special thanks to Taylor Hannson (I think...)

It is possible to replace displayed filename with movie title from meta-file?
