Yes, I have one DLink DSM 510 Upnp DLNA 1.5..so I guess its player issue which cannot handle named pipes well.

They're "video message boxes" for Actions or for Players to show error messages when they fail...They don't work on my Sony Bluray either

Let me run it with new jumpy-xbmc and attach the file..excuse me for not attaching it anyways. I just saw jumpy/xbmc/xbmcinit.py and felt that error was triggered by that line 112.
