Web content will not stream

Hiya chocolateboy,

As discussed, the (live channel) youtube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62i9gJqkbq0 will not work for me via PSEncoder. See requested files attached. I have also tried to setup Jumpy but I can't see it on PS3. Perhaps I will raise that issue in a separate thread.

PMSEncoder's built-in YouTube handler doesn't support all YouTube streams. This one requires youtube-dl:

Either a) install it manually.

Or b) install it with homebrew or MacPorts:

Once installed, shut down PMS and add the path to the youtube-dl executable to PMS.conf as described here e.g.:

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. Have you or anyone done a step by step on setting up pmsencoder to stream sopcast?

Been searching here for a while now and all i can find are posts between you and others which look like a foreign language to me .

One more issue now. Hopefully I'll learn along the way and be less disturbing.

This http://www.hum.tv/live.php video feed runs on the website via JW player. I have a few other similar channels which i would like to integrate via PMS.
The feed is also available at the following links (I get this link from the site when i chose to stream on a mobile device)

When i try either link on PMS it just shows me an empty folder. The example feeds you have provided in the sample Web.conf all work fine and so does the Youtube feed via youtube-dl however the channels on sites *.php do not seem to work. Perhaps I am missing some addtional scripts in the PMSencoder?

Hi. Quick question. ¿Is web streaming already compatible with Xbox 360?

I am unable to stream what I've got in Sopcast. With PS3 works fine.

Edit: Ok, I've now found "PMS doesn't support web streams for the Xbox 360. PMSEncoder should work on all other platforms/renderers supported by PS3 Media Server." Ugh. So I guess I won't make it.

It's being worked on, both for PMS and PMSEncoder.

Hi,

I'm having some issues to stream web channels or videos like youtube etc. I'm able to stream the trailers in the apple folder and I can get the thumbnails for youtube, movie2k etc but when I click on the files I get the "unable to play this content" error. I have attached my log file maybe someone can give me a hand to sort it once and for all as it's driving me nuts.

P.S I also managed to stream sopcast without issues.
