Stream embedded YouTube video via PS3 MediaServer/VLC

Hi,

I would like to watch the following youtube embedded live TV channel on my TV.

I have just installed PS3 Media Server and can play content off my MAC on the TV.

I have also installed VLC and can play normal youtube links on it but not the embedded video link pasted above. The link does not work on PS3 directly so I would like to stream it via VLC. So far I have not got anywhere but then my knowledge on how to stream live videos onto the network is very limited. Any help suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what I am using currently:

MAC OS X 10.7.4 (2.3GHz Intel Core i5)
VLC Media Player (Version 2.0.3 Twoflower (Intel 64bit))
PS3 Media Server (Version 1.60.0)
Sony PS3 (Software Version 4.21 - 250GB Model)

I will try and follow the "Best way to play a Youtube Video?" guide and see if it helps me.

The link did not paste properly in my post above. Not sure why. It does work on the MAC (Safari) but I couldn't play it on the PS3 Browser. I will try pasting the link again, and the bit after youtube.com/

Ok I have now made some progress (very little though as all of this is pretty new to me) and got the feed running on XBMC.

I have spend hours trying to install the plugin to be able to connect XBMC to PMS but I have gotten no where with it.
I followed this (http://skeptical.github.com/jumpy/readme.html) link.
Sometimes the instructions are Windows specific and this is where i get lost.

Apologies for the VERY basic questions but honestly I am not being lazy.. but genuinely struggling to get this working.

PS3 and PMS are linked. XBMC has the Youtube Add on added and it plays the live feed I want it to. I just want the PMS to now link up with the XBMC and that is it. Have installed Python 2.7 and unzipped latest py4j to the PMS plugin folder and added the correct python.path in the PMS.conf file however I still do not see any "Jumpy" folder anywhere.

Am desperate to get this working so any advice or link to get this working on a MAC would be much appreciated.

Why?

If you don't have a YouTube account or only have one YouTube video you want to stream, it can be added as a videostream e.g.:

videostream.Web,YouTube=Charlie,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OBlgSz8sSM


i.e.:

videostream.Web,YouTube=Geo News Live (Official),http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62i9gJqkbq0

Thanks a lot for your help so far chocolate boy.

I was able to stream most youtube videos via the videostream.Web links however the "live" stream that I am after does not seem to work on the PS3.

I get the following error even though the link works on Safari, XBMC and also on the ps3youtube (link also added below for reference)
ERROR 2012-08-22 10:45:45.320 [New I/O server worker #3-7] There is no inputstream to return for Geo Live [PMSEncoder]
