Config for slimbox STOREX

Postby coconuts » Fri Nov 04, 2011 7:33 pm

Hello guys,

I've a multimedia box which can display Full HD movie.
But It don't work with all mkv in 1080p.
I think a config file must be added on my serv.
Any body can help me to make a config file?

It works perfectly with simple divx.

Thanks a lot.

Reading the specifications slimbox: (HD/SD) H.264 MKV
No mp4 with mkv...

Here is a start for the "supported".
The "supported" only used if "MediaInfo = true"
Use the PS3.conf as base, and info!

Code: Select all
# info slimbox STOREX:
# MKV H.264, XviD & DivX HD, MPEG2 HD, M2TS
# (HD/SD) H.264 MKV, MPEG 2/4 HD, M2TS, ISO, VOB
# AC3, MP3, M4A, WMA, OGG, WAV, FLAC
# JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIFF

# StreamExtensions = iso,m2ts  ??

# maybe other mime types.!! (m:)

MediaInfo = true

# [Supported video formats:]
Supported = f:mpegps v:mpeg2                a:lpcm|ac3|mpa|mp3|aac|wma    m:video/mpeg
Supported = f:mpegts v:mpeg2|h264|mp4       a:lpcm|ac3|mpa|mp3|aac|wma    m:video/mpeg
Supported = f:avi    v:divx|mp4|h264|mpeg2  a:lpcm|ac3|mpa|mp3|aac|wma    m:video/x-msvideo
Supported = f:divx   v:divx|mp4|mpeg2       a:lpcm|ac3|mpa|mp3|aac|wma    m:video/x-msvideo
Supported = f:mp4    v:mp4|h264|mpeg2       a:lpcm|ac3|mpa|mp3|aac|wma    m:video/mp4
Supported = f:mov    v:mp4|h264             a:lpcm|ac3|mpa|mp3|aac|wma    m:video/mp4
Supported = f:mkv    v:h264              a:lpcm|ac3|mpa|mp3|aac|wma    m:video/x-matroska

# [Supported audio formats]:
Supported = f:mpa|mp3 n:2  m:audio/mpeg
Supported = f:mp4  a:aac   m:audio/mp4
Supported = f:aac  a:aac   m:audio/mp4
Supported = f:wma  a:wma   m:audio/x-ms-wma
Supported = f:wav          m:audio/x-wav

#Supported = f:ogg a:? m:?
#Supported = f:flac a:?  m:audio/?

# [Supported image formats]:
Supported = f:jpg m:image/jpeg
Supported = f:png m:image/png
Supported = f:bmp m:image/bmp
Supported = f:gif m:image/gif
Supported = f:tiff m:image/tiff

Info building a config:
http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&p=57942#p57942

Try to use 'device spy' for the protocol info. (the right mime types).
http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&p=16952&hilit=device+spy#p16952

or google for 'mime types' for possible mime types.

success

Could you help me to write a correct conf file plz??

Here's my conf actually, my slim box was recognized:
RendererName=Storex SLimbox
RendererIcon=ipad-iphone.png
# Combined regular expression of working user agents
UserAgentSearch=AVOS/1.1

# UserAgentAdditionalHeaders: additional http header for better detection
#UserAgentAdditionalHeader=

But after I don't know how to setup all parameters...
All divx works but i want to setup up the transcode parameters to view any mkv in 720p.

I want to help more, but you have this player so you will be my tester. :)

Have you tried to use the "device spy" ( I asked earlier) for the `protocol info` from this player. (this can be very useful information for the "Supported= " lines).
Please try this and post the info.

Hi,

I expected more Protocol info for the Sink...

I've transcoded the audio track in mp3, same result... :/

I guess you mean that you edited next line in the renderer config:

Code: Select all
TranscodeAudio = ?

to
Code: Select all
TranscodeAudio = mp3

This setting is for audio files only, so this won't be used for video transcoding.

I guess this player should be able to play the mentioned mkv file with A_AC3 audio without transcoding.
Have you tried to play this mkv file directly on the player with usb ?

Can you post the config file you made, and the debug.log while you played this mkv file ?
You can add those files in a zip file with your post.

Also info about your computer specs and network setup would be helpful.
