Can't get to the nightly build server, so I reinstalled PMS 1.5.4. No subs. When I disable ASS/SSA subs in the Mencoder menu, subs do show! I tried the same with 1.6.0, but the subs still do not show.

I tried this with multiple files and .srt's. Under 1.5.4, with ASS/SS subs disabled, they all work.

Weird right. What could be the problem that it will work under 1.5.4. but not under 1.6.0.?

I will try the nightly build tommorow (gives a bad gateway error now) and get back to you. Should I file a bug-report otherwise?

Same scenario here. 1.5.4 with ASS/SS subs disable, they work. Actually, if disable Fontconfig/Embedded fonts, they work.
On 1.60.. no way.

The sad is, if disable ASS/SS, the subtitle is only White, I like the Subtitles in Yellow. If disable Fontconfig/Embedded, the subtitle is too much small. But Yellow.

I thing the problem is Fotconfig/Embedded engine/code.

Server is up. By the way what DLNA player do you have?

Will work on 1.54 with ASS/SS subs disabled... There's no solution at moment.

Just a quick update. Subs still work with SSA disabled. Using version 1.70.1 on 10.8.2.

See my response in "Subtitles broken since 1.60.0" for an explanation.

Subtitles don't work for me.

I have: PS3 Media Server 1.70.1; Mac OS X 10.7.5.

When I go to the map > #--TRANSCODE--# > game.of.thones > I see these files:
game.of.thrones
[No encoding] {External Subtitles}
[MEncoder] {Audio...
[MEncoder] {Audio...
[tsMuxeR] {Audio...
[FFmpeg] {Audio...

Only the file beginning with no encoding i can play. But with no subtitles.

Hope you can help me! Thank You!
