I have a Sony Bravia TV, very picky on what it will play.
I also have a Humax FoxSat, very nice PVR, it produces "TS" video files.
Tried ps3mediaserver on Linux and was impressed to find it transcoded the TS files and the Sony Actually played them OK.
They even worked off USB mounted drives.
So I am chuffed!
The final setup would be as follows and would save me ftping files around:-
The Humax has a Samba Add On so I mounted this on my Linux server using smbmount, seemed OK.
Ps3mediaserver saw the mount and showed some of the directories.
But when I went to open a video directory it "core dumped" after some moments.
Anyone else seen this happen or used smbmount drives ???
Thanks
Jim
