Subtitles don't show on blu ray

Postby g22g » Wed Jul 18, 2012 8:18 pm

My LG blu ray can see the ps3 mediaserver folder and play videos, but the subtitles don't show. What can I do? (The xbox does show them just fine.)

OK...I see five files in the transcode folder, but no subtitle track.

For my blu ray, a subtitle track looks like a picture of a reel with a "T" on it.

The files look like this:
1. title.avi [MEncoder] {External Subtitles}
2. [Avisynth/MEcoder] {External Subtitles}
3. [MEncoder] {Audio:Mp3/null (movie title)}
4. [MEncoder] {Audio:Mp3/null}
5. [No Encoding] {External Subtitles}

files 1, 2 and 5 are video clips. #1 and #2 will not play. #5 will play, but no subtitles. #3 looks like a reel, but no "T." And #4 looks like a big white circle. ??? Sorry I'm so clueless but I'm just trying to explain to you what I see.

Do you have any ideas how I can fit the subtitle file in there?

In my video directory, the movie and subtitle are in the same directory, alone together, and named the same. :?:

PMS detected external subtitles but they are not displayed in TRANSCODE folder which is weird.
Post MediaInfo of video and subtitle file. Maybe your subtitles are corrupted?
Also posting debug.log(zip/rar it) file will be helpful
