Web folder for audiostreams missing

Postby kettle » Mon Jul 16, 2012 11:35 pm

Hello,

I'm really struggling to get the web folder to appear in the ps3 xmb. I want to play a web radio audiostream, which I managed to do a year or so ago, but it's disappeared.

I've added the stream address to the web.conf file but the problem is that the xmb just displays shared folders but no web folder. I've tried reinstalling ps3media server, I'm running win7 and I've tried removing all traces of it in the users appdata subfolder as well, but can't get anywhere. I've also tried searching for support posts relating to this, but can't find an answer.

I'm getting nowhere and would really appreciate guidance.

Thanks in advance

edit:
When it worked previously PMS was installed on a different machine. i also notice that under transcode settings within pms that the Web Audio Streaming Engine section states No setting for now. is this related?

thanks for the steer, all sorted now.

I was putting the web.conf in \APPDATA\PMS rather than \ProgramData\PMS
