Embedded VobSUB + CoreAVC decoding without AviSynth

Hey guys, I'm having issues with my A/V sync. It's always just "slightly" off. I tried using oceanm's directions in the post above this and it's still off by a little. , but it doesn't seem to do anything. I even changed the mc to .1, just so I can see a change in syncing, but I haven't noticed anything change.

I have not tried playing my files in the transcoded folder. For this sync to work, where exactly should I be playing my files from when inside the PMS? My audio settings are as follows:

- "vcodec == h264 :: -noass -mc 0.005 -vc coreavc -mt" into my expert settings
(I changed the mc to .900 just to see if my settings were impacting the sync, they didn't seem to be changing anything)
- A/V Alternate method disabled
- Keep DTS audio in stream enabled
- Remux when audio track is AC3
- 2 channels of audio
- 384 bitrate
- TsMuxer Mux all audio tracks enabled

I just can't get oceanm's settings to work...

I have 412 PMS installed.
Loaded mencoder_mt from the link, I guessed that the "p4 mt" package was right for me (Core2Duo E5200).
It was the 32492 revision.
Had installed CoreAVC earlier.

Did all the rest of the steps, but no success.
CoreAVC doesn't get loaded.

Is it possible that Windows 7 64-bit is an issue here?

When I try to start an mkv from my PS3, I get "Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x34363248." error to the debug.log.
And "C:\Program Files (x86)\PS3 Media Server\win32\mencoder_mt.exe has a return code of 1" ot the traces.

Any ideas?

I had this working earlier, but when I updated to an newer beta all went wrong.
I have done a complete clean install on W7 64 & SB19.
I still cant get the mencoder to find coreavc codec.

I have done as instructed:
- using "-vc dnscoreavc", which worked earlier
- copied coreavcdecoder.ax to codecs

But still I get: "Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x34363248"
Has something changed i.e. "-vc coreavc" to "-vc dnscoreavc" or there some bug in Mencoder??

This is really strange because earlier everything was fine and working...

I feel like a complete git now, I've read everything but I cannot get it to work.. I'm using the latest PS3MS (21) and I also have the latest CoreAVC (2.5.1, because of the CUDA support) installed, but I just can't get it to work.. When I look at the traces, it also mentions it started 'mencoder-older.exe' instead of mencoder.exe...

Will this ever be just part of PS3MS or will we always have to do it manually? (which I still haven't been able to get working).. (even though CoreAVC does work when I try to play the same file through the Windows Media Player 11)

Since I can't get AviSynth to work, I am trying the method described in this topic.
However, I am also having a problem getting this method to work: CoreAvc is being activated as soon I start transcoding a video, but it does not activate the GPU decoding. In other words, CoreAvc starts but the tray icon stays blue....

How your PMS is running? As a service? If yes, then probably account used for this service is different from your account so setting CoreAVC under your context is not applied when PMS is started as a service.
Another problem could be you are using DXVA instead of CUDA. DXVA can't be used for postprocessing (CUDA places decoded frames to memory where MEncoder have access but DXVA sends decoded frames directly to the OUT so can't be read and changed afterwards)

PMS is not running as a service.
I have now bought a nVidia card with CUDA functions, but I keep getting the same exact error.
Please tell me if you need any more information to be able to help me better .
