Mac OSX/NAS/PS3 Media server-not finding my media?

I have my Mac tied to my FreeNAS machine housing all of my media. I can pull anything off of it and use it on the Mac just fine.

The problem is when I go to try to setup PS3MS on my Mac to read off the NAS.

For some reason, it will not let me set it to read directly off of the NAS, I have to setup an Alias to the folder in the NAS containing all of my movies, and when I go to the PS3, it shows no media found.

But, I can view all the media on the NAS from the computer.

Please help. It worked fine on my Windows machine, but just recently switched to Mac. I do have AFP shares setup in FreeNAS, and, as said before, I can access all of the info just fine from the Mac, just not the PS3.

Nevermind. After 3 weeks of messing with it, I just figured it out.

(I.E. I cant read).

I have a synology NAS that I'd like to use through PS3MS, but I just can't figure out how to get it to read it.

Thanks Bob, but the NAS does not show up under /volumes, only my external drive does.

The NAS shows up in Finder and I can use Chrome to access it.

Any other advice ?

You need to map the NAS to a drive - http://osxdaily.com/2010/09/20/map-a-ne ... -on-a-mac/
Then it should be available under /volumes.
Note: I don't use OSX so if you need additional assistance you'll need someone else to help you.
