Firstly, this is not a big deal, as everything works fine streaming via the PS3. I'm just intrigued to know what the problem is...
I can stream all the audio files in my iTunes music library via PS3mediaserver to my PS3 without problem. However, if I try to use the renderers in my Panasonic TX-P50G20 TV or my Onkyo NR515 amplifier, it can only play those tracks that are encoded as mp3. Anything in m4a format cannot be played on either device. Generally these are ripped locally via iTunes from CD, rather than being purchased in the iTunes store, so I don't think it's a copy protection issue. PS3mediaserver sees the TV as a Panasonic TV and the amplifier as an unknown renderer, if that's helpful?
Any ideas?
