For Panasonic TV users or others who are using byte2time seek function!
In Panasonic.conf file edit this line:

CBRVideoBitrate=15000

to this one

CBRVideoBitrate=37000

Value 15000 is very CPU intensive so to avoid stuttering (also on 4 core CPU) default value should be higher!
Value 37000 means real bitrate of about 75Mbit which is maximum for network card of Panasonic TV.
Value 45000 is more than 80Mbit bitrate so picture on TV stutter highly and in opposite when value 15000 is used, buffer is not filled fast enough for older PC.
Developers, please change it to value 37000 which I found as the optimal value (for those who want FF/RW support - that means CBRVideoBitrate is used)

Value 15000 was default value in old PMS builds due to the bug that value higher than 16000 crashed the MEncoder.

After using 1.54 just realised there is no 5.1 sound on older movies.
use mkv toolnix on movies that havnt worked in the past ie the fast and the furious mp4 was only giving me pcm not 5.1 but after using mkv toolnix got 5.1
just tried wrong turn mp4 and got pcm 2 channel so used mkv toolnix muxed it then tried thw mkv file and still 2 channel pcm so thought I would try ps3 media server 1.53
and there you go all movies muxed with mkv toolnix are working in 5.1

when u set a java heap size in the batch it doesn't translate properly to the traces log.

i had set 1536 as indicated in the FAQ, its off by 200 or so MB.

also any chance we can get mencoder updated i tried putting sb35 in but it spits out errors all over the place.
