infidel,
I loaded XBMC onto a Windows XP laptop and added PSM as one of the UPNP sources. Then played ESPN3 via Jumpy and it started playing w/o any problems. However, after about 5-10min it stopped. What was interesting that Internet bandwidth continue to be used up completely, I quit PSM. So I tried again and same thing happen, plays for few minutes then stops, but based on bandwidth consumption I can tell that PSM is still streaming, where and why it's not displaying the contents - I don't know?
Tried playing it via iPad/Air - and it gets the buffer filled to about 95% but it won't finish - so I looked at the bandwidth again and it sure enough it's consumed 100%. I had to quit out of PSM then bandwidth freed up.
In conclusion - somehow PSM streams in the background, as it happened with either PS3, XBMC or iPod/Air but it never displays the content, so I'm not sure if this gives you any ideas. I'll provide logs once I get more time and can clean up my setup a bit. Thus far I'm using a laptop with XBMC and ESPN is working so it's not a pressing, but I think number of folks could benefit from the solution. BTW the version of PSM 1.52.2 SHB-43 is working very well.
Question: related to Sharp TV as a render: are there any plans that you know of to support Sharp TV's? It's DLNA compatible, but it won't play all of the content nor will it transcode .
