Nice to see active development on this issue.

The only thing I have to report is that whenever I return to the main shares folder (the main directory that shows the shared folders selected in PMS) from inside any other folder, it errors out and kicks me off to the selection menu and I have to re-enter the AllShare Play server again so I can browse the shares again. Not a big issue though... but still worth checking out. Also, M2TS files with MPEG2 + AC3 content are showing up as not compatible on the TV, even though they should be. Same exact content remuxed to MKV plays fine. I'm gonna test this one M2TS from within a USB drive cuz maybe it's a PMS bug. Will report back later.

Yeah I'm seeing this behaviour where any share folder that has lots of files in it -> first time Allshare errors out, but if you go in again it works. I spent some time looking at it yesterday and the cause isn't obvious - but I'm sure we'll figure it out!

I'm also not seeing the shares being sorted according to prefs - it's alphabetical.

Follow-up to the .m2ts issue:

Using PS3 Media Server, the TV says that the file is not supported and won't play.

Using a USB drive, the file plays fine.


Just letting you guys know. Hope it gets fixed. This Samsung TV is way more compatible than the PS3 itself. It even plays MKV Remuxes with VC-1, h.264, and MPEG2 without any issues, and natively. It's impressive.

Hello there,
I like to post an equivalent issue I came across. Until recently I used the PS3 media server with my PS3. Just a few days ago I got a Samsung UE46ES7000S. Initially I had the same problem, my PS3 media server recognized it as a Samsung AllShare TV, but the TV could not see the media server, so I replace the PMS.jar (as previously mentioned in this thread) and I got through. The problem now is that I cant see and Greek letters (yes I am Greek) and whatever I tried until now didn't make any difference. Curiously I tried some other media servers, as Meezmo, Samsung AllShare etc, and it looks like there is the same problem with Greek letters but I am only care about PS3 media server, as I don't want yet to remove my PS3 console. So any ideas ?

Hello, i'am french and i have the same problem with a 2012 TV samsung. I have seen the post with the fix, but i'am not a pro with that and i dont understand what to do with the fix for fix the problem. where and how i must used this fix for enable PS3 media server for my TV.

Hey guys, I have the 64" plasma version of this TV.

It's the PN64E550

I have the same problem where the PS3 Media Server recognizes the TV and comes up as Samsung AllShare, but the TV never recognizes the PMS. I'm running it on my iMac on the network.

It typically works with the Xbox 360 depending on what file type/size is playing, but with the 1080p movies at like 4.5gb, it struggles a lot.

Everything is hardwired. I was hoping streaming directly to the TV would alleviate some of that.

Nevermind. Figured out I was replacing the .jar in the wrong directory, and then unchecked the V2 box, and it works like a charm!

Ok I managed to get it functional with my TV.

Untick HTTP Engine V2 in General configuration, save, restart server.

Still not 100%, working through a bug where very populated folders time out the first time, but let me know if it works for you.

It would be great if you can let us know what you changed in the jar file so we can make the fix in the program

For some reason some of the commits incorrectly show large diffs, the changes are ~50 lines total including HTTPv2
