sound comes too early

due to my audio setup, the sound is always a little early, about 0.2 sec or so. this has nothing to do with the media server, but with my audio setup. the sound from the tv is perfectly in sync, but the speakers are crap. as i only have an old analog receiver i have it connected through cinch. the sound is great, but comes a little too early. is there a way to delay the sound anywhere in the mencoder options or anywhere else?

i unticked tsmuxer in the mencoder options and entered

CustomMencoderOptions = -delay -0.5

in the PS3.conf, but it doesn't change the delay. i tried it also with 5 sec, just to test it.

i then tried

CustomMencoderOptions = -audio-delay 0.5

but it also doesn't change anything.

am i missing something here?

It can be done in MEncoder (you'll need to force it via the #--TRANSCODE--# folder if it's not being used).

And make sure you've added the option to the existing CustomMencoderOptions line in PS3.conf.

back testing, didn't saw the existing CustomMencoderOptions = line in the conf file
