DLNA 2006 error

Postby Roguey » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:22 am

1. Intel i3 540 / 4gb RAM / Windows 7 Professional
2. Streaming to PS3 - default config
3. PC - 100mbps - Billion Wireless G - Wifi - PS3

I was running the latest build (1.50.0) and recently started getting the DLNA 2006 error - I could navigate the directories but could see no files. A lot of solutions indicate that this is a directory size issue but I had added nothing to my media disc in recent weeks. I uninstalled version 1.50.0 and reverted to version 1.25.1. Bingo. Worked first time. Closed the PC down and thought no more of it until the next day. Instantly the same problem - DLNA 2006. I reinstalled 1.25.1 over the top of the current installation (no uninstall) and it worked again straight away.

This leads me to believe that there is something occurring at startup that is making a change breaks the media server. Maybe a file is being overwritten that the reinstall process puts back. I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this and has any idea how to fix it ?

Thanks guys
Jase

Possible admin rights issue with the database? Re-install 1.50.0 with Run as Administrator on the installer.
If that doesn't work - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507&start=30#p38484
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum.

I want to bump this one up as I am getting the same issue, DLNA 2006.

It happened to be after a powerloss on my PC (PS3 was off at the time). Prior to that, PMS would work perfectly, now I can only see the inital directory level and then it just times out to DLNA 2006 error. Have tried reboot, restarts and reinstalls

You can bump the issue, but without more diagnostic information we cannot help.

Hi.....

So let me join the club with this new issue. I'm seeing the 2006 error when I look at something from the Navi-x media portal. Funny thing is, between the 2006 errors the log shows that is finds the information, but on the TV i see "There are no titles"
