I think the problem is that the video is High 10 @ 5.1

I believe you need to use AviSynth/FFmpeg engine to play such video.

hi.. have a problem with Build 71

Code: Select all
~/pms-1.52.2-SB71$ LANG=C ./PMS.sh
dirname: extra operand `Software/pms-1.52.2-SB71/PMS.sh'
Try `dirname --help' for more information.
Error: Could not find or load main class net.pms.PMS

ok, when I actived set -x on the script I see this:

Code: Select all
+ readlink -f ./PMS.sh
+ CMD=/pool/Downloads/Linux Software/pms-1.52.2-SB71/PMS.sh
+ dirname /pool/Downloads/Linux Software/pms-1.52.2-SB71/PMS.sh
dirname: extra operand `Software/pms-1.52.2-SB71/PMS.sh'
Try `dirname --help' for more information.
+ DIRNAME=

so problem are the blanks in folder name:

I changed the following:

Code: Select all
DIRNAME=`dirname "$CMD"`
cd "$PMS_HOME"

How about if you go to the Transcoding Settings tab, then the MEncoder section and untick "Remux videos with tsMuxeR", then play it normally?

still doesn't work. I've uploaded the video to here for you to try out. thanks

I must be doing something wrong.

One thing is strange though. I initially split this video up and uploaded the first 10 sec since I figured you only need a few sec of the video to find what was going on, but that split 10 sec version of the video was able to be played successfully on the ps3. I checked the media info, and it was exactly the same as well.

Is anyone else experiencing problems after updating Java to 1.7.0.4? I am hopeful for a release that corrects this.

You've got the right idea :) Please upload either the whole file or give me a link to where you got it. PM if you want

Works fine for me, can you be more specific about your problems?

the link I provided in the previous post, https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ctcg7w1jvxxe ... %20-15.mp4 ,is the full video.
I didn't upload the 10 sec video since I figured that wasn't useful as I was able to play it fine.
thanks!
