@Butman
Are you actually launching PMS using that .bat file? Making that change doesn't do anything if you still directly launch the exe.
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum.

In the one without noskip (alternative a/v sync disabled) the audio is 200ms behind at that scene. If you play in VLC, push "k" 4 times to see that the sync is better with a 200ms delay. In the file with noskip it's perfect.

And how the original file is played in VLC? As one with noskip used or as the other one? 8-)
Will test it this week, hopefully.

Thanks for that meskibob,

I had no idea the .bat file would not necessarily run. So, I ran the file and that fixed it. About 20 min. in, there was a slight pause but after that everything seemed to run fine. I would like to run it that way from now on. I expect if I setup a PMS shortcut to run the .bat that will do it.

Thanks again!

Update: Kids are watching Home on the Range with subs and all is well (over 20 min. in)

It does actually say to start PMS using the batch file, in that link :)

Yes with the batch file, you can "send to desktop" a shortcut. You can also right-click the shortcut, and select Properties. Then select Change Icon and then OK to the pop-up window. Once open, you can Browse and navigate back to the PMS install directory, and point it towards the icon.ico file. This will give your PMS.bat a PS3 icon (just like the PMS.exe shortcut), rather than the generic Windows batch file icon.

You said, that one from converted videos is OK (with noskip), other one needs +200ms in VLC to be same as the one with noskip.
So my question is how original MKV plays in VLC. As the converted one with noskip option or the other one without it 8-)

Ah I see. They play perfectly in VLC, WMP and MPC.

Thanks for the tip Val Killmore.

I made a shortcut of the batch file as well as another of the PMS app, copied and pasted the location to the second shortcut and grabbed the icon file - works great.

Another update: I played/tested a few more movies last night without any difficulty (still on wireless too)

No problem :) I just hate that generic batch file sitting on my desktop. Much nicer with the PS3/PMS icon. 8-)

Glad things are working well for you with playback as well. One of the lucky few who's PS3 wifi NIC works well. Hope it keeps working for ya. Good luck. :)
