I think I have a solution to choppy video. Since I've been using PS3ms I've had problems with choppy video sporadically. Some movies are "ok", and some are just ridiculous. I decided to work hard to try to figure out what he problem is. In the log it says my ps3 is connecting at 7Mb. I found that pretty odd since I have a gig network card connected to a gig router. In addition...I have a Quad Core with 4mb of ram. This 7Mb connection made me think that if I have set Maximum bandwidth to 0 (no limit) this would cause a network flood of traffic because my I'm only connected at 7Mb. I set my Max bandwidth to 7, and no more choppiness with any movie so far.

Sounds brilliant. Any chance you could walk me through what you just said?
Sorry if I'm asking a noob question, but I'm not exactly sure where to adjust my Maximum bandwidth. Is that on your router or your PS3? If this is too annoyingly basic of a question, can you tell me a few terms to google and I'll try and track it down myself?

If anyone cares, PS3 is connected wirelessly to a netgear wireless-n 300 WNR2000v2, computer hosting the files is wired.

Did some more searching, if anyone else is looking the answer is: neither.

You adjust the setting in PS3 MS, under General Configuration.

Set it to 7, haven't had any problems yet.

Thanks Demaster.
