[XBOX 360] Can´t get any video working.

Postby Tango » Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:46 am

Hi!

I´ve been trying for 4 hours to get my XBOX 360 to read some movie, with no luck. The error I always get is "unsupported content"

.- I´ve tried the install as seen here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13046
no luck

.- I read that with version 1.50 it was an error, blah, blah, and tried 1.40
no luck

.- I got the latest 1.52 from GoogleCode: https://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserve ... 1.52.0.tgz
no luck

.- I read that there was a problem with mencoder... and got very latest mencoder and ffmpeg from: http://ppa.launchpad.net/motumedia/
no luck

.- I´ve tried the latest PMS for WINDOWS in an WIN XP from scratch box...
and ¡NO LUCK!

Where is the problem? My Xbox DO read some wmv files, like http://download.nvidia.com/downloads/nZ ... _1080p.wmv

Damn... When I try to read that file (purevideo), a file that I DO PLAYED... it says the same error: "Unsupported file type"...

So, It is not PSM... it is my xbox.

If this can help someone, the error code I get is 69-C00DF804

I will edit his post, if I can fix this piece of sh**

By the way: My Xbox is BANNED.

EDIT 1: I Think the problem became after I did the RGH hack to my xbox 360...
EDIT2: Well, I have the dash 14.699... And I do not think that RGH has much to do with this problem...

No, nothing wrong on the log. Neither on 1.40 or 1.52.

With that proof (not working on windows, and not playing that file), I really doubt about my xbox.

Thanks.

PS: By the way, if I google my error code, I can just find 2 o 3 valid results! Very weird!

Ok, I´m going to try an "optional media update", off-line, for using on my RGH´ed xbox.

I´ll comment here the results.

cheers!

I don't think it has anything to do with your Xbox being banned. I am having exactly the same problem and my XBox connects normally to XBox Live. I even tried to stream videos that the XBox plays normally from its HD, with no sucess. Incidentally, I also own a PS3 and everything works flawlessly.

Edited: Apparently the problem is in the transcoding. (Why would the server transcode a perfectly normal AVI file? To superimpose subtitles, perhaps?). Select the #ENCODING virtual folder (or whatever it is called, can'r remember right now) and choose "No Transcoding". It works for me, but then the subtitles don't show.

Hi alpeh, that does not work for me, either.

In the #ENCODING (or whatever) folder, I´ve tried with the 3 options that appears. No one worked.

I´ll try Optional Media Update I said before, and I´ll post results here.

Thanks!
