I started having this problem after upgrading to Windows 7. I must have wasted 5 hours trying to figure it out.
I never suspected the PS3 firmware upgrade, but there it was.

Thanks again and again!

I have a question, now that the streaming works fine.

Why doesn't it work when I select 44.1/88.2/176.4? Is this normal?
Isn't the correct sampling rate supposed to be 44.1 khz for my music files that were ripped from CDs?

MY- Staggering/Juddering Play Back Problem Solved(Windows 7 HP,BT HOME HUB 2.0)

Been using PS3 Media Server on & off for a while, was put off with the staggering/juddering/missing 10 seconds - 2 mins of a movie playback for most(if not all) films, MP3 playback was no better, tried almost every solution on the forum & countless transcode settings - with no avail, was going to un-install it - but found an easy solution.

I store all my movies/music on a WD Blue Ring 1TH External HDD connected to my router.

1 - Un-Install PS3 Media Server & Re-Install( Clean Start )
2 - Connect you pc to your Wireless Router using BOTH wireless & wired connections, Ps3 wirelessly - Problem Solved.

You will have to manualy add the files to the PS3 MS/Navagation Share Settings/Shared Folders, just do them for the entire music, movies & picture files.

HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU.
