Discuss alternative media renderers (not PS3) supported by PS3 Media Server (like Xbox 360 and TVs)

Is it possible to jump to a certain time…

Postby krockroc » Mon Jan 30, 2012 8:41 pm

…using my Panasonic P50G20? When using my PS3 I know I can use the goto time option but is there anything within PS3 Media Server where I can request the film starts at say, 1:06:00? I ask this because I stopped a film last night and when I wanted to return to it today I don't seem to be able to. FF doesn't work very well even though it's a wired connection. Any help would be much appreciated.

FF works for me without problems on Panasonic TV(SB58).
Alternatively you can enable chapters in PMS.

Go to Transcoding Settings > Common Transcode Settings and tick "Chapters #Transcode# folder support" to enable chapters. A "Chapters" folder will apppear under the #Transcode# folder, from which you can select the "start" time for the film. You can also define a "chapter" interval.

Alternatively, if your renderer supports the video you could try streaming it. FF/FR problems normally result from transcoding/remuxing.
