I am scratching my head with this one, popular songs work lovely on my phone and through the PS3, may try my wifi radio later.

But searches whatever I try I get There are no tracks, this is after creating a gs_search.txt.

Is the search broken?

Edit - Didn't think to look in saved searches, working now, tried with wifi radio and it just refuses to work ah well.

First off, thank you for this amazing plugin. Hats off to you good sir.

This might be wishful thinking, but is there anyways to search by a grooveshark account and access our playlists? Or is there anyway to access a specific playlist by a specific grooveshark user account?

Cheers!

Yes it is possible (not to login but to search for your own playlist). Use "Playlist Search" (or add xxxx,Playlist to saved searches). You search for the NAME of the playlist so if you call it MyPlaylist it will be hard to find. Call it some smarter name. Once you've found your plyalist just start playing it and from now on your playlist will be stored locally and accessible via the "Playlist" folder (not the music only the playlist).

So I changed my playlist to a unique name and entered this into gs_searches:

Code: Select all
FOSTER THE PEOPLE_AYWL,Playlist

I then go to my PS3 and find it in 'Saved Searches' but when I press into the folder it says no tracks found. I might be doing something wrong.

On a separate note, if I'm punching in a search string manually, how do you enter two of the same letters consecutively. i.e. the "e's" in 'Sleeping'.

Thanks!

I'll have a look into the play list search stuff. The refresh that grooveshark quite heavily depended on is broken since someone "fixed" this in 1.50 so use a 1.40 based release for this.

I installed the Grooveshark plugin in PMS and can see the Grooveshark folder on my PS3 but when i want to play a song it says that the data are not compatible. What's weird is that it work really well on my Android. Do I need some additionnal codec to transcode for the PS3 ? I'm on Windows 7 64-bits.

Edit: Nevermind, I got it working by adding "gs_plugin.init_delay = 0" in the PMS.conf file...

I agree. An all in one how to set up Grooveshark would be helpful. I do not know how to add saved searches. Thanks.

What is the problem? Simply drop the jar file in "plugins" and restart PMS. To add stuff to saved searches the search system is described here (https://github.com/SharkHunter/GSPMS/wiki/Search-System.
To make it short
add
Code: Select all
gs_plugin.path=<some path>
to PMS.conf
and in that path create a file gs_searches.txt where you add lines of
xxx,Songs.

How to create a file? Google has the answer (http://www.ehow.com/how_4530578_create- ... ndows.html)
