I would first like to thank everyone, who contributed to this wonderful project.
This software has allowed my Philips units as a media player to work.
This config is created and tested by using a big assortment of files with different codecs.
The info on this forum and the natively supported formats from "Codec_table_all.xls" were very useful.
I like to share this, so that other Philips users can use and test it.
All codecs supported by the TV's are programmed by the "supported = " lines and "MediaInfo = true".
This way the natively supported formats/codecs will be streamed,
and the unsupported formats/codecs will be (automatic) real-time transcoded.
Paste the config file to "C:\Program Files (x86)\PS3 Media Server\renderers" (windows)
Use the .zip file for download, from Updated versions.
Additionally next png icon can be added to the same folder.
Useful information about natively supported formats with Philips products (2009,2010,2011),
I used for creating the config files, downloaded from the Philips support forum:
After I posted the config-file for my (2010) Philips TV, I helped some people by creating a config-file for their
Philips TV. Here I try to keep this topic UpToDate:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
xxPFLxxx3 = 2008
These TV's uses the existing Philips.conf they have User-Agent:
Allegro-Software-WebClient/4.61 DLNADOC/1.00
These TV's supports playback formats:
Video: MPEG-1, MPEG-2
Audio: MP3
Photo: JPEG
I have wrote a new config-file for these TV's, that gives support for the natively supported formats.
If you want to try this config-file, replace the existing Philips.conf with this one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
xxPFLxxx4 = 2009
These TV's uses the existing Philips.conf they have User-Agent:
Allegro-Software-WebClient/4.61 DLNADOC/1.00
These TV's supports playback formats:
Video: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AVI, H.264/MPEG-4, WMV9/VC1
Audio: MP3, LPCM, WMA
Photo: JPEG
I have wrote a new config-file for these TV's, that gives support for the natively supported formats.
Replace the existing Philips.conf with this one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
xxPFLxxx5 = 2010
xxPFLxxx6 = 2011
These TV's uses next user-agent for recognizing:
Windows2000/0.0 UPnP/1.0 PhilipsIntelSDK/1.4 DLNADOC/1.50
These TV's supports playback formats:
Video: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AVI, MKV, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, WMV9/VC1
Audio: MP3, WMA (v2 up to v9.2), AAC
Photo: JPEG
The PhilipsPFL1.6.conf = PhilipsPFL.conf (added to PS3 Media Server since version 1.51.0),
is confirmed to works with:
2010: 40PFL8605H/12, 52PFL8605, 40PFL9605
2011: 42PFL7656, 42PFL7676H/12, 42PDL7906T
Some TV's only support Playback Formats: MP3, JPEG, MPEG1, MPEG2 (like the 40PFL4706/F7)
Replace the existing PhilipsPFL.conf with this one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
xxPFLxxx7 = 2012
Most of these TV's uses next user-agent for recognizing:
Windows2000/0.0 UPnP/1.0 PhilipsIntelSDK/1.4 DLNADOC/1.50
These TV's have more natively support.
Replace the existing PhilipsPFL.conf with this one.
Some (2012) TV's uses only next user-agent for recognizing:
DLNADOC/1.50
And only support playback formats: MP3, JPEG, MPEG1, MPEG2 through DLNA (like the 22PFL4907)
Replace the existing PhilipsPFL.conf with this one.
Within the Philips (2012) 3000 series, DLNA is applicable for PFL35x7 and PFL38x7 only.
These TV's uses next user-agent for recognizing:
User-Agent: IPI/1.0 UPnP/1.0 DLNADOC/1.50
Use this config-file for these TV's.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For those with a Philips HTS or BDP player try this config-file.
Caution: This config-file conflict with the Philips TV (2012) 3000 series. (same User-Agent)
